RESUMEN:

El Museo de Anatomía Javier Puerta de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid atesora una colección de figuras de cera anatómicas que tuvieron su origen a finales del siglo XVIII, como parte del Gabinete Anatómico del Colegio de Cirugía de San Carlos de Madrid. Con este estudio damos a conocer la autoría de una de las piezas anatómicas del museo, denominada Venus de Medicis, a través de un conjunto de obras de las que se conservan ejemplares en los fondos de la Biblioteca Histórica de la misma universidad. El análisis también nos permite ahondar en la técnica de la ceroplastia y su importancia como medio que facilitó el estudio anatómico.

ABSTRACT:

The Javier Puerta Museum of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid hoards a collection of anatomical figures of wax that had her origin at the end of the 18th century, as part of the Anatomical Cabinet of the College of San Carlos' Surgery of Madrid. With this study we announce the authorship of one of the anatomical pieces of the museum, named Venus de Medicis, across a set of works of which copies remain in the funds of the Historical Library of the same university. The analysis also allows us to go deeply into the technical of the ceroplastia and her importance as way to that facilitated the anatomical study.
