VPN connection
Virtual Private Network allows to securely access and connet to UCM's private network from anywhere. Once connected via VPN, the off-campus computer will be treated by the University network as though it were on-campus.
Not everyone needs to use a VPN. You do not need a VPN for general web browsing, consult the Library catalogue Cisne or other free resorces that are open to all. Use the VPN connection to access licensed library resources, such as article databases, ebooks and electronic journals, as if you were using a campus computer.
Requirements
- You need a user ID and password (same login as for your UCM e-mail account or Virtual Campus)
- Internet connection
- You need to downloand and install the VPN software on your home PC or portable computer
